Description
Sifmig 8 MIG Brazing Wire – 1.2 mm x 4 Kg
The Sifmig 8 is a phosphor bronze MIG brazing wire that contains 7% tin. It is specifically designed for fusion welding of phosphor bronze castings, copper alloys, and brass.
Key Features:
- Phosphor Bronze with Tin: Contains 7% tin, enhancing its welding properties.
- Versatile Applications: Suitable for MIG brazing on ferrous, stainless, and dissimilar metals. Also used for applying a bearing surface.
- Specialized Uses: Ideal for crack repair in castings and providing a wear-resistant layer on surfaces prone to abrasion.
Lead Consideration: For parent metals with trace lead (e.g., LG2), it’s recommended to apply the wire in stages, grinding between passes to eliminate lead from the joint and minimize porosity.
