Description
Sifmig 985 MIG Copper Brazing Wire – 1.2 mm x 4 Kg
Sifmig 985 is a superior quality MIG brazing wire primarily composed of 98.5% copper, enriched with deoxidising elements. This wire is specifically designed for MIG welding of copper, offering resistance to high temperatures and corrosion.
Key Features:
- High Copper Content: Contains a minimum of 98.5% copper, ensuring optimal conductivity and corrosion resistance.
- Deoxidizing Elements: These elements enhance the quality of the weld, preventing oxidation and ensuring a clean weld pool.
- Welding Positions: Versatile and suitable for use in all positions.
Typical Applications:
- Copper Welding: Specifically designed for MIG welding of copper.
- Joint Welding: Ideal for joint welding of high-oxygen copper joints and materials.
Material Compatibility:
- Suitable for MIG welding of copper, especially for high-oxygen copper joints and materials.
- For material thickness greater than 6mm, it’s recommended to pre-heat the component to a temperature less than 600°C. After welding, controlled cooling is essential to ensure a slow and gradual reduction in heat, preserving the integrity of the weld.
