Description
GeKa – 2209-15 ELOX B Electrodes (2.5mm) 3kg
The GeKa 2209-15 ELOX B electrode is a basic coated electrode designed for welding duplex steels. It’s versatile, suitable for both jointing and surfacing similar-type austenitic steels and cast steels. The electrode coating has a basic character, ensuring smooth and reliable welding operations. It demonstrates very high resistance to stress corrosion cracking and corrosion in chlorinous and sulphurous media, making it ideal for environments where these types of corrosion are prevalent. The electrode is designed to withstand serviceability at temperatures up to 280°C, making it suitable for liquid conditions in the chemical industry.
Features and Benefits:
- Versatile Welding: Suitable for welding duplex steels, jointing, and surfacing similar-type austenitic steels and cast steels.
- Excellent Weldability: The basic character of the electrode coating ensures smooth and reliable welding operations.
- High Corrosion Resistance: Demonstrates very high resistance to stress corrosion cracking and corrosion in chlorinous and sulphurous media.
- High Serviceability Temperature: Designed to withstand temperatures up to 280°C.
- Re-drying Requirement: Electrodes require a minimum of 2 hours re-drying time at temperatures of 250°C-300°C.
Common Applications:
- Duplex Steels Welding: Ideal for welding duplex steels in various applications.
- Chemical Industry: Suitable for liquid conditions in the chemical industry due to its high serviceability temperature.
