Description
Weld Star – ER 80S-Ni2 Wire (0.8mm) 15kg
The Weld Star ER 80S-Ni2 is a copper-coated, Ni-alloy (2.5% Ni) solid wire specifically designed for welding low-temperature, fine-grained, and austempering steels. This wire is known for its excellent impact toughness, attributed to the addition of Nickel. It showcases impressive mechanical properties even at sub-zero temperatures, reaching as low as -60 degrees Celsius. The wire is precision layer wound, ensuring superior wire feeding characteristics. It is manufactured using virgin raw materials from specialized steel mills, ensuring consistent quality and reliability.
Key Features:
- Contains 2.5% Nickel for enhanced toughness.
- Designed for low-temperature applications.
- Exhibits good mechanical properties even at -60°C.
- Copper-coated for improved conductivity.
- Precision layer wound for consistent wire feeding.
Common Applications:
The ER 80S-Ni2 wire is versatile and finds its application in various industries. It is especially suitable for the offshore sector. Typical applications include:
- Construction of cranes.
- Transport equipment.
- Tanks and storage facilities.
- General industrial equipment.
