Description
Weld Star – Alloy 59 (NiCrMo-13) TIG (3.2mm) 5kg
Weld Star – Alloy 59 (NiCrMo-13) is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with extra low carbon and silicon content, ensuring superior wet corrosion resistance. This alloy outperforms Alloy C276 in a broader range of oxidizing media due to its high Mo level. It’s primarily used in welding aggressively corrosive media, including applications in chemical process plants, overlays, and more.
Features and Benefits:
- Superior Corrosion Resistance: Extra low carbon and silicon content ensure excellent wet corrosion resistance for demanding applications.
- Versatility: The alloy’s high Mo level, similar to Alloy C276, offers better performance in a wider range of oxidizing media.
- Diverse Applications: Ideal for welding aggressively corrosive media, including equipment in flue gas desulphurization, digesters, papermaking, and chemical process plants. Also suitable for corrosion-resistant overlays and applications in severe offshore and petrochemical industries.
Common Applications:
- Chemical Process Plants: Used in equipment and components that handle corrosive chemicals.
- Flue Gas Desulphurization: Ideal for scrubbers and other components.
- Papermaking Equipment: Suitable for machinery in the paper industry that requires corrosion resistance.
- Offshore & Petrochemical Industries: Used in environments that demand high corrosion resistance.
