Description
Weld Star – ER 347Si Stainless TIG Wire (2.4mm) 5kg
Weld Star – ER 347Si Stainless TIG Wire is an austenitic stainless steel wire enriched with niobium. This composition provides resistance to intergranular chromium carbide precipitation, enhancing its resistance to intergranular corrosion. The increased silicon content ensures fluidity in the weld pool, resulting in a smooth deposit appearance. This wire is ideal for welding and overlaying chromium-nickel stainless steel base metals of similar composition, especially those stabilized by Nb or Ti, such as types 321 and 347. It finds its applications predominantly in the chemical industry, especially in high-temperature environments. This includes equipment intermittently heated within a temperature range of 400°C to 800°C. Other applications span across industries like food processing, dairy, oil, textile, and more.
Features and Benefits:
- Niobium Presence: Offers resistance to intergranular chromium carbide precipitation.
- Silicon Content: Promotes weld pool fluidity for a smoother deposit.
- Versatile Applications: Suitable for welding chromium-nickel stainless steel base metals, especially types 321 and 347.
- High-Temperature Resistance: Ideal for equipment heated within 400°C to 800°C.
Common Applications:
- Chemical Industry: Used in equipment intermittently heated within 400°C to 800°C.
- Food Processing: Suitable for the food processing industry.
- Dairy, Oil, and Textile Industries: Finds applications in these industries.
- Firewalls and Pressure Vessels: Ideal for constructing and repairing these structures.
