Description
Sifmig No 968 Copper MIG Brazing Wire – 1.2mm x 4 Kg
Sifmig No 968 is a copper MIG brazing wire containing 3% silicon and 1% manganese. This composition makes it ideal for fusion welding materials of similar composition, copper alloys (brass), and for MIG brazing steels. Additionally, it’s suitable for surfacing steel and welding dissimilar metals. The added silicon and manganese enhance the wire’s flow properties and wear resistance.
Key Features:
- Contains 3% Silicon and 1% Manganese.
- Offers good flow properties and wear resistance.
- Suitable for Direct Current (DC+) with an amperage range of 35-180 Amps.
- Shielded with Pure Argon gas.
Common Applications:
- Shipbuilding and offshore industries.
- Automotive industry.
- Heating and ventilation.
- Sculpture making and repair.
- Manufacturing of bronze statues, castings, and tubular products.
Materials to be Welded:
- Materials of similar composition to the wire.
- Copper alloys (brass).
- Steel (for MIG brazing).
- Suitable for surfacing steel and dissimilar metal applications.
Note: Ensure optimal welding conditions by maintaining a clean and degreased base metal surface.
