Austenitic -ferritic duplex stainless steel filler metal characterised by high tensile strength, resistance to stress corrosion cracking and improved resistance to pitting. Its PREM is at least 35.

The grade is used for welding, joining and overlay of stainless steels of a similar composition. Applications include petro-chemical, off shore, pipe and where stress corrosion resistance far higher than that by austenitic stainless steels in chloride environments and temperatures between 50ᵒC and 300ᵒC.
