The low profile split body design of the FAST self centring, low profile splitframe clamshell pipe cutting machines allows on site operators to utilise the machines to cut and bevel inline on lengths of pipe even where radial clearance is limited. The primary use of the FAST range of machines is applications where pipework requires removal or repair, or simply to cut and bevel the pipe in pipework fabrication.
The OD tracking and automatic indexing of the toolboxes allows for the cutting tools to cut and bevel simultaneously (limited wall thicknesses) with minimal operator interface for increased safety over such methods as grinding, flame or plasma cutting.
