Capacitor Discharge weld studs in 316L stainless steel, for fastening applications that require corrosion resistance in the welded condition.

Features

• Capacitor Discharge (CD) weld studs made from 316L stainless steel.
• Dimensions: M4 thread size, available in 12 mm and 16 mm lengths.
• Designed for welding using the Capacitor Discharge welding process.
• Low carbon content (max 0.03%) reduces chromium carbide precipitation during welding, resisting intergranular corrosion (weld decay) in the heat affected zone.
• Pitting and crevice corrosion resistance is equivalent to standard 316 (PREN approximately 24 for both).
• Threaded design allows use in a range of assembly and fastening applications.
• Suitable for marine environments, chemical processing equipment and other demanding applications.
