3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Hand Pad 7448+

Our Scotch-Brite™ Ultra Fine Hand Pad 7448+ is a superior alternative to fine steel wool, with the added benefit of never shredding, rusting, or leaving splinters. Filled with silicon carbide abrasive, these grey pads are designed to run cleaner and longer for a consistent finish. You can use them to condition metal surfaces and prepare for painting. On detailed and intricate surfaces, they won’t change the size of the base material. The flexible pads are also perfect for cleaning, finishing, and buffing tasks. You can use them alone, with a hand pad block, or speed up larger areas with an in-line sander. Scotch-Brite abrasives feature abrasives incorporated into non-woven nylon fibres for efficient, consistent results. The open-web material runs cool and resists loading, maximising the cutting performance of the abrasive minerals.
