{"id":3525,"date":"2013-05-02T17:32:22","date_gmt":"2013-05-02T16:32:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/weldingandwelder.dancing-badger.co.uk\/?product=aluminium-expandable-pipe-stopper-10"},"modified":"2024-03-11T12:20:37","modified_gmt":"2024-03-11T12:20:37","slug":"aluminium-expandable-pipe-stopper-10","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/www.weldingandwelder.com\/product\/aluminium-expandable-pipe-stopper-10\/","title":{"rendered":"Aluminium Expandable Pipe Stopper &#8211; 10&#8243;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Aluminium Expandable Pipe Stopper &#8211; 10&#8243;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pipe stoppers, or drain plugs as they are sometimes known, are used to temporarily seal the end of a pipe or opening for many different testing applications.<\/p>\n<p>Pipe stoppers are mainly used to seal off from water, gases and foreign objects in newly laid pipes, or pipework systems that are under repair.<\/p>\n<p>Available in a number of different styles to suit many applications for pipe sizes from 1\/2&#8243; to 72&#8243;.\u00a0Special Pipe stoppers are also available for pressure testing.<\/p>\n<p>Sizes up to 72&#8243; (1828 mm)<\/p>\n<p><strong>How it works:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A central spindle\/shaft on which two plates are fitted with a natural rubber tyre (ring) between them, a wing nut on the shaft moving the two plates together compressing the tyre and making the seal in the pipe.
