Description
Weld Star – Alloy C276 (NiCrMo-4) TIG (2.4mm) 5kg
Weld Star – Alloy C276 (NiCrMo-4) is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy designed for welding alloys with similar chemical compositions. This includes dissimilar materials of nickel-base alloys, steels, and stainless steels. With its high molybdenum content, Alloy C276 offers superior resistance against stress & corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion.
Features and Benefits:
- Versatility in Welding: Suitable for welding alloys with similar compositions, including nickel-base, steels, and stainless steels.
- Superior Corrosion Resistance: Due to its high molybdenum content, the alloy provides excellent resistance against stress & corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion.
- Diverse Applications: Ideal for use in pipelines, pressure vessels, chemical processing plants, offshore oil platforms, gas facilities, power generation, and marine environments.
Common Applications:
- Pipelines & Pressure Vessels: Ensures durable and corrosion-resistant welds for transporting liquids and gases.
- Chemical Processing Plants: Used in equipment and components that handle corrosive chemicals.
- Offshore Oil Platforms & Gas Facilities: Provides resistance against the corrosive effects of seawater and other environmental factors.
- Power Generation & Marine Environments: Ensures the longevity and durability of components exposed to high-stress environments.
