Description
Super Duplex Stainless Steel TIG Rods Steel – 2.4 mm x 5 Kg
Super Duplex Stainless Steel TIG Rods are solid, bare TIG filler rods designed for welding austenitic-ferritic alloys. These rods are specifically tailored for alloys of the 25% Cr, 7% Ni, 4% Mo, low C types. They offer a high resistance to various forms of corrosion, including intergranular, stress, and pitting. With a shielding gas recommendation of Ar or ArHe and a current range of DC=- 20A min to 20A max, these rods are versatile and suitable for a range of welding applications.
Features and Benefits:
- Super Duplex Composition: Ensures high resistance to multiple forms of corrosion.
- Versatile Welding Positions: Suitable for all positions except vertical down, offering flexibility in welding operations.
- High Mechanical Strength: Provides a yield strength of >660 N/mm² and an ultimate tensile strength of >835 N/mm².
- Excellent Corrosion Resistance: Ideal for environments where exposure to corrosive media is a concern.
- Diverse Weld Metal Composition: Balanced composition ensures optimal welding performance and durability.
Common Applications:
- Offshore and gas industry operations.
- Sheet and pipe applications in corrosive environments.
- Chemical industries where corrosion resistance is crucial.
- Pulp and paper industry applications.
- Sour pipeline and offshore work, especially where exposure to corrosive media is prevalent.
