Description

Sifmig 347 Stainless Steel MIG Welding Wire – 1 mm x 15 Kg

Sifmig 347 is a niobium-stabilised stainless steel MIG welding wire. This unique stabilization prevents weld decay, ensuring the welds have excellent corrosion resistance. The wire’s high silicon content enhances arc stability and the flow of the weld metal. This results in an improved bead appearance, especially during dip transfer welding. It’s specifically designed for welding 18/8 type stainless steel and Nb and Ti stabilised materials like 304 and 321, especially when the weld is exposed to temperatures exceeding 400°C.

Key Features:

  • Niobium Stabilisation: Prevents weld decay, ensuring longevity and corrosion resistance of the weld.
  • High Silicon Content: Provides better arc stability and improved weld metal flow, enhancing the bead appearance.
  • Versatility: Suitable for welding a range of stainless steel types, especially those stabilised with Nb and Ti.
  • Heat Resistance: Designed for welds that are exposed to temperatures above 400°C.

Typical Applications:

  • Stainless Steel Welding: Ideal for 18/8 type stainless steel.
  • High-Temperature Applications: Suitable for materials like 304 and 321 that are exposed to temperatures exceeding 400°C.
  • General Fabrication: For structures and components requiring corrosion-resistant welds.

Material to be Welded

Suitable for use on 18/8 type stainless steel, Nb and Ti stabilised such as 304, 321 and where the weld is subject to temperatures of 400 degC and above.
