Description
Sifmig 316LSI Stainless Steel MIG Wire – 1 mm x 15 Kg
The Sifmig 316LSI Stainless Steel MIG Wire is a molybdenum-bearing stainless steel wire with a low carbon content. This unique composition ensures the wire’s corrosion resistance, making it an ideal choice for welding molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steels.
Key Features:
- Molybdenum Bearing: Enhances the corrosion resistance of the wire.
- Low Carbon Content: Reduces the risk of carbide precipitation, ensuring high corrosion resistance.
- Certifications: Meets standards EN ISO 14343, BS: 2901, and AWS A5.9.
Common Applications:
The Sifmig 316LSI wire is universally applicable, but it is especially suited for industries that require superior corrosion resistance, such as:
- Textile industry
- Paper mills
- Chemical industry
- Cellulose industry
Materials to be Welded:
The wire is designed for welding a variety of austenitic acid-resistant stainless steel grades, including AISI 316, 316L, 316LN, 316Cb, and 316Ti. It offers resistance to both general and intergranular corrosion up to 400°C and has a good resistance to hot cracking. Some of the base materials suitable for welding with this wire include ASTM/AISI Gr. 316 series and WNr 1.44 and 1.45 series.
