Description
Sifchrome 316L Stainless Steel Electrode (MMA Stick) – 2 mm x 4 Kg
Sifchrome 316L is a rutile coated electrode designed specifically for welding molybdenum alloys 18/12 and similar CR/Ni/Mo steels. It produces a self-releasing slag and offers an excellent weld appearance. This electrode is known for its high resistance against both general and intergranular corrosion (up to 400ËšC) and showcases good resistance to hot cracking.
Features & Benefits:
- Rutile Coated: Ensures smooth welding and a consistent arc.
- Self-releasing Slag: Facilitates easy slag removal, leading to cleaner welds.
- Excellent Weld Appearance: Produces aesthetically pleasing welds that are both strong and neat.
- High Corrosion Resistance: Offers protection against general and intergranular corrosion up to 400ËšC.
- Hot Cracking Resistance: Minimizes the risk of weld cracking during cooling.
Common Applications:
- Textile Industry: For machinery and equipment that require superior corrosion resistance.
- Paper Mills & Cellulose Industry: Ensures durable and corrosion-resistant welds for processing equipment.
- Chemical Industry: Ideal for equipment and pipelines that handle corrosive chemicals.
- Shipbuilding & Offshore: For structures and vessels that are exposed to saline environments.
- Power Generation: Suitable for components that operate under high temperatures and pressures.
- General Fabrication & Construction: For structures that require both strength and corrosion resistance.
- Process Industry: For equipment and pipelines in various processing plants.
