SIF SIFMIG 985 Copper MIG Brazing Wire - CuSn1 - 0.8/1.0/1.2mm Dia. (4kg & 12.5kg Spools)

SIFMIG 985 is a CuSn1 copper MIG wire (98.5% copper) for welding oxygen-bearing copper joints and copper materials, supplied in 0.8–1.2mm diameters on 4kg and 12.5kg spools.

SIFMIG 985 is a high-quality copper MIG wire containing a minimum of 98.5% copper with deoxidising elements, providing excellent resistance to high temperatures and corrosion.

It is designed for MIG welding of copper and is especially suitable for joint welding of oxygen-bearing copper materials.

When welding thicknesses above 6mm, preheating to 600°C is recommended along with controlled cooling to reduce the risk of cracking.

The wire produces weld metal with a tensile strength of 220 N/mm², hardness of 70 BHN, and melting point of 1025°C.

It operates on DC+ with argon shielding gas and is available in 0.8mm, 1.0mm and 1.2mm diameters on 4kg and 12.5kg spools for fabrication, repair and maintenance work.
