SIFMIG SG2 is a copper-coated mild steel MIG wire in 0.8, 1.0 and 1.2mm diameters on 15kg reels, manufactured to EN ISO 14341-A and BS A18 standards for structural and fabrication work.
SIFMIG SG2 is a high-quality copper-coated double-deoxidised mild steel MIG wire designed for welding unalloyed and low-alloyed mild and medium tensile steels.
It is precision layer-wound with a superior copper finish for smooth wire feeding and arc stability.
The manganese and silicon alloy content delivers clean welds with excellent mechanical properties, including tensile strength of 400 N/mm², hardness of 120 BHN, and impact toughness down to -20°C.
Suitable for use in general fabrication, construction, tanks, boilers, pipework, automotive repair and structural steelwork.
Runs on DC+ polarity with CO₂ or Ar/CO₂ shielding gases, and supplied on 15kg reels in diameters of 0.8mm, 1.0mm and 1.2mm.
