Description

Straight Adapter 1/4″ NUT-3/8″ RH – Pack of 10

The adaptor is used to connect a hose with a 3/8″ fitting to a 1/4″ attachment on gas equipment (e.g. a lightweight style shank), or to connect a hose with a 1/4″ fitting to a 3/8″ attachment on gas equipment (e.g. a regulator outlet or a Type 3, 4 or 5 style shank).

FURTHER INFORMATION 

Straight adapters are used to convert the thread size of BSP hose fittings in order to enable them to be connected to 3/8″ BSP HD shank fittings.

Bent adapters are used to convert the thread size of 3/8″ BSP hose fittings in order to enable them to be connected to ¼” BSP LW shank fittings. A bent adaptor is sometimes preferred as a device for directing the hoses away from the shank or cutter, so as not to allow the hoses to impair movement of the equipment when welding.

The adapters are available in left hand (LH) and right hand (RH) versions for fuel and inert gas respectively.
