Description
GrabPak – 309L-17 ELOX R Electrodes (3.2mm) 0.5kg – Min Qty 10
The GrabPak 309L-17 ELOX R electrode is a stainless steel rutile coated low carbon electrode designed for welding high strength, unalloyed, heat treatable steels, ferritic Cr, and austenitic CrNi steels. It’s especially useful for welding dissimilar metals and creating buffer layers on mild steel and low alloyed steels prior to build-up or overlaying. GrabPak offers a handy and convenient packaging, ensuring customers have the right amount of electrodes for small jobs, whether at home or in the workplace.
Features and Benefits:
- Versatile Welding: Suitable for high strength unalloyed and heat treatable steels, ferritic Cr and austenitic CrNi steels, austenitic Mn steels.
- Dissimilar Metals & Buffer Layers: Ideal for welding similar type austenitic stainless steels, dissimilar metals, and creating buffer layers on mild and low alloyed steels.
- Crack Resistance: Offers good crack resistance with hard-to-weld steels.
- High Ferrite Content: The weld metal contains a high percentage of ferrite.
- Re-drying Requirement: Electrodes require a minimum of 2 hours re-drying time at temperatures of 120°C-200°C.
Common Applications:
- Dissimilar Metals: Suitable for welding similar type austenitic stainless steels, dissimilar metals, and creating buffer layers on mild and low alloyed steels.
- Hard-to-Weld Steels: Ideal for unalloyed tempered steels, tool steels, hard manganese steels, and hard-to-weld steels.
