Description
GeKa – ER 309LSi Stainless Wire (0.8mm) 12.5kg
GeKa ER 309LSi is a solid austenitic stainless wire designed for dissimilar joint welding of stainless and CMn steels. It is particularly suitable for buffer layers before hardfacing and is applicable on a range of materials including ferritic Cr or austenitic CrNi steels, austenitic manganese steels, unalloyed high-strength steels, and heat-treated steels.
Features & Benefits:
- Versatility: Ideal for welding austenitic stainless steels and joint-welding of different metals.
- Buffer Layers: Suitable for creating buffer layers before hardfacing.
- Diverse Applications: Can be used for joint-welding of corrosion-resistant stainless steels to each other or to low-alloyed steels, and in welding coated steels.
- Shielding Gases: Compatible with MAG shielding gases; specifically Ar+%2.5 O2 or Ar+%2.5 CO2 mixed gases.
Common Applications:
- Welding of austenitic stainless steels
- Joint-welding of different metal types
- Buffer layers before hardfacing
- Welding coated steels
- Joint-welding of corrosion-resistant stainless steels to various metals
