Description
GeKa – 309L ELOXCOR S Wire (1.2mm) 15kg
The GeKa – 309L ELOXCOR S Wire is an all-positional Rutile flux cored wire designed for dissimilar welding applications, such as joining stainless steel to mild steel. It’s also suitable for creating buffer layers before cladding. This wire is optimized with a ferrite content that aids in joining dissimilar metals and can operate in service temperatures ranging from -60°C to +350°C.
Key Features:
- All-Positional: Rutile flux cored wire suitable for various welding positions.
- Dissimilar Welding: Ideal for joining metals of different compositions, especially stainless steel to mild steel.
- Buffering: Can be used for buffer layers prior to cladding.
- Optimized Ferrite Content: Ensures effective joining of dissimilar metals.
- Service Temperatures: Operates efficiently in temperatures from -60°C to +350°C.
- Shielding Gas: Compatible with CO2 or M21.
- Packaging: Vacuum-packed spools for enhanced protection.
Common Applications:
- Joining of steels with similar compositions.
- Joining carbon steels to stainless steels.
- Buffering before cladding.
- Service in environments with temperatures ranging from -60°C to +350°C.
Materials to be Welded:
The wire is versatile and can be used on a range of base materials, including:
- High-strength unalloyed and heat-treatable steels.
- Ferritic Cr and austenitic CrNi steels.
- Austenitic Mn steels.
- Unalloyed tempered steels.
- Tool steels.
- Hard manganese steels.
- Ferritic chromium steels.
- Austenitic nickel-chromium steels.
- Hard-to-weld steels.
- Similar-type austenitic steels.
- Dissimilar metals.
- Joining of corrosion-resistant stainless steel with mild or low alloy steels.
- Clad steels.
