Description
Weld Star – ER 2209 Stainless TIG Wire (1.6mm) 5kg
Weld Star – ER 2209 Stainless TIG Wire is an austenitic-ferritic duplex stainless steel wire known for its high tensile strength. It offers excellent resistance against stress corrosion, cracking, and pitting. This wire is specifically designed for joining 22% Cr duplex stainless steel base materials, notably 2205. Interestingly, the weld metal has a lower ferrite content compared to the 2205 base metals. It’s recommended for use in temperatures ranging from cryogenic levels to 300°C. This wire is predominantly used in industries like petrochemical, offshore, acid gas, and chemical transportation.
