Description
Sifcupron No 17-5Ag Copper Phosphorus Brazing Rods – 1.5 mm x 5 Kg
- EN 1044: BS: 1845 AWS CP104,
- CP4 A5.8 BCuP-3
Welding Positions
Suitable for use in heating and ventilation industries, shipbuilding, refrigeration, and offshore and electrical industries.
Material to be Welded
It is recommended for use in the production of electrical motors, dynamos and the joining of copper pipes in ship building and offshore industries.
It is extensively used in refrigeration, air conditioning and heat-exchanger components for fluxfree brazing of copper pipes and tubes. It is also used for joining copper in electrical engineering applications.
Not suitable for brazing iron-containing materials like carbon, stainless steel, or materials with a nickel content as the phosphorus within the filler will form brittle compounds at the joint. For brazing copper to copper no flux is needed.
