Description
CARBO DURIT S 70 E – 5 mm
CARBO DURIT S 70 E is a specialized hard metal electrode, designed with a sintered tungsten carbide core that’s enriched with Cr and Nb carbides. Tailored for the Manual Metal Arc welding process, this electrode is engineered to provide resistance against extreme abrasion, especially from minerals.
Common Applications:
- Brick, Tile, and Clay Industry: Highly recommended for sectors where extreme abrasion by minerals with minimal impact is prevalent.
- Hardfacing: Ideal for hardfacing parts that are exposed to extreme wear and tear.
- Industrial Applications: Beneficial for use in the chemical industry, especially for equipment exposed to high temperatures.
Standards: DIN 8555 E21-UM-65-G
Recommendations for best welding results
- To get a good result the welding areas should be properly cleaned of rust, grease, soil and similar pollutions.
- Preheat the area to be overlaid to 250 degC . 350 degC.
- Best results are given by welding at low amperage, not more than 2 layers.
- Gradual cooling is advised.
