Description
CARBO DURIT E – 3.5 mm
- Standards DIN 8555 E21-GF-UM-60-GP
- DIN EN 14700 E Fe20
- Welding positions PA, PB
- Flux-cored wire equivalent CARBO F- Durit Fe
Typical applications
- Hardfacing of tools and machine parts in the mining,
- Road construction, well digging, civil engineering,
- Deep drilling technology, where strongest abrasion by minerals may occur.
Recommendations
For optimal results, it is crucial to ensure that the welding areas are thoroughly cleaned of rust, grease, soil, and other contaminants.
Preheating the area to a temperature range of 350-500 degrees Celsius is recommended before welding. To prevent the melting of the carbide particles, it is advised to use the lowest possible welding current.
The choice of grain size and rod diameter depends on the specific application and the size of the tool that requires hard facing.
When abrasion wear is the primary concern, smaller particle sizes are recommended. On the other hand, larger sizes are preferable for tool cutting faces to achieve superior cutting performance.
