Information

The K3 style torch is rated to 600 amperes and is a medium-duty torch suitable for repair and maintenance jobs in mining, construction and metal fabrication applications. This torch is of straight design for easy manoeuvrability.

The K4 style torch is angled, to work efficiently with the natural angles and movement of the arm and wrist. This torch is rated to 1000 amperes and is suitable for heavy-duty metal removal applications in environments such as shipyards and pressure vessel shops. It will accept a wide range of gouging carbons, flat and rounded, from 3.9mm to 15.7mm diameter.

This torch and cable package has a comparatively low weight, yet remains rugged and reliable in use. The K5 style torch is also straight and is the largest of the three torches. It is rated at 1200 amperes and is suited to very high duty tasks where high current and rugged construction is a necessity. For use with 4.0mm – 15.9mm diameter carbons.

All Weldability gouging torches are designed for operator comfort and are highly efficient metal removal tools – ideal for speedy weld removal, back-gouging of weld roots and defect repair. In addition, heat input from these torches is low enough to avoid excessive metal deformation.
