Description
Sifmig 5556 Aluminium MIG Welding Wire – 1.2 mm x 2 Kg
Sifmig 5556 is an Aluminium alloy welding wire containing 5.3% Magnesium, 0.8% Manganese, and other closely controlled elements. This combination ensures optimum weld strength. It produces a weld metal that is stronger than the standard 5% Mg 5356 alloy. The wire is specifically designed for applications requiring high strength, such as military uses and structural applications. One of its primary uses is on the 5083 (N8) alloy, which is widely used in structural applications.
Features & Benefits:
- High Magnesium Content: Contains 5.3% Magnesium for enhanced weld strength.
- Optimized Element Control: All elements are closely controlled to ensure the best weld strength.
- Superior Strength: Produces a stronger weld metal compared to the standard 5% Mg 5356 alloy.
- Versatile Use: Ideal for welding 5083 (N8) alloy and military applications requiring maintained strength.
Common Applications:
- Welding of 5083 (N8) alloy
- Military applications where maintaining full strength is essential
- Structural applications requiring a strong weld
Welding Positions
Ensure that the parent metal surface is cleaned and fully degreased prior to welding. Clean joints with a stainless steel brush.
