This resistance welding system is controlled by a microprocessor and is fully automatic, making it suitable for car body shop applications.

The welding control unit utilizes a digital display with a touch screen function, allowing for easy setting and monitoring of all welding parameters based on the tools used and the type and thickness of the sheets to be welded.

The main features of this welding equipment can be summarized as follows: automatic identification of connected tools, a welding gun with an integrated transformer that can be connected to the welding system using an industrial socket and quick fittings, eliminating the need for spanners, tools, or screws for replacement. The main components of the welding gun, including the transformer, arms, and electrodes, are fully cooled by a closed loop cooling system and are mounted on the system’s cart.

The welding transformer is entirely designed and produced by TECNA. It is integrated into the welding gun and is fully water-cooled to optimize productivity and increase the duty cycle.

The water cooling system, including a heat exchanger, cools the transformer, arms, and electrodes, further enhancing equipment productivity.

The working pressure can be adjusted quickly, accurately, and continuously using a proportional valve, ensuring better quality and repeatability of the welded spots. The integrated pressure bottle maintains a constant pressure, even in the event of supply variations during welding.

The supporting arm includes a Tecna-produced balancer, designed and sized for safe and comfortable operation in workshop environments.

The station is ergonomic, compact, and stable, thanks to the extension capability of the front wheels. It is equipped with a proper arm-holder in the rear position and a wide upper tray for carrying tools. The handles are designed for easy handling.

The new welding control unit features a touch screen interface with intuitive graphic diagrams, making it extremely user-friendly.

Users can select from various operation modes. The automatic Smart Plus mode is capable of recognizing the thickness and type of material, automatically determining the optimal values for current and force. Alternatively, the Expert mode allows for personalized adjustment of all desired welding parameters.

For convenience, a USB interface is provided, enabling easy exporting of data related to the welded spots for printing purposes. This same interface can also be used to update welding parameters required for new materials. TECNA collaborates with leading car manufacturers to continuously develop and refine these parameters.
