These TIG electrodes are alloyed with 2% non-radioactive lanthanum oxide. The higher lanthana content increases maximum current-carrying capacity by approximately 50% compared to pure tungsten on AC, while providing excellent arc starting, low erosion rate, stability, and re-ignition.

Lanthanum electrodes offer longer life and greater resistance to tungsten contamination of the weld than cerium or thorium alternatives. 150 mm length, supplied in packs of 10. Conforms to ANSI/AWS A5.12-92 and BS EN ISO 6848:2015.
